Unless otherwise stated in the relevant warranty documents, all warranty periods commence on the earlier of the date the Product is installed by ADS Solar or sold to the customer.Only Products listed in the table above, for the scope specified above (scope) and subject to the limitations in clause 3 below, are covered by manufacturer’s warranties. For the avoidance of doubt, panel glass is not covered by an express warranty.

LIMITED PROPERTY DAMAGE WARRANT (for One year)

ADS Solar guarantees that the installation of your solar power system is free from defects such as roof leakage, ceiling damage or any other property-related issues subsequent to it. Under this warranty ADS will repair these problems at no cost for one year after being installed! The workmanship warranty is a valuable asset to have when installing solar panels, inverters and batteries. This ensures that any defects or damages will be covered in the process of setting up your system at home!

  • WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY (For 10 years)

This warranty applies to all other defects which does not form part of the '1 Year Limited Property Damage Warranty'. Defects include any breach of the Australian Standards, regulations, Clean Energy Regulator's requirements, Clean Energy Council Install and Supervise Guidelines for Accredited Installers, or Distributor Network Service Provider requirements. ADS Solar will repair such defects at no cost to the customer. An example is if the solar panels are installed within exclusions zone 2s AS1170.2:2011 App D6. This warranty does not cover any work, upgrade or replacement of the meter board /switchboard / wiring to the meter board / wiring to the switchboard in order to connect the solar power system to the grid (“Excluded Services”) . The customer is responsible for arranging and bearing all costs of any 'Excluded Services.’

  • PRODUCT WARRANTY

Product warranty is separate to the above workmanship and property damage warranty. Please refer to the 'Product Warranty' in this manual . If Product warranty documentation are not part of this manual, then ADS Solar will separately supply such documents to customer.

  • EFFECTIVENESS

These warranties shall only come into effect once ADS Solar has received all amounts owing in relation to the solar system and ownership has passed to customer. This warranty is void if:  anyone other than: 1.A ADS Solar approved installer; 2. A ADS Solar contractor; 3. A suitable qualified person engaged by the customer but who has been approved by ADS Solar in advance; 4. A person authorized by ADS Solar; works on (including repairing or altering) the solar power system at any time; or the customer fails to comply with system's maintenance requirement and fails to take due care of the solar power system. Please refer to 'Maintenance Schedule' section of this manual, which sets out how to effectively maintain the solar power system.

  • EXCLUSIONS
  • The cost of any maintenance required to be done, as specified in the 'Maintenance Schedule';
  • The solar power system that has been tampered, repaired or modified by any party other than ADS Solar, or without ADS Solar's prior written consent;
  • Improper use of the system;

 

  • Failure to comply with manufacturer's instructions;
  • The solar power system is repaired outside the guidelines provided by the System Component manufacturers;

 

  • Any act, omission, misuse, abuse, or damage (whether wilful, accidental or negligent) caused by the customer or a third party;
  • The solar power system has been affected or damaged beyond human control for example by a force majeure event (including lightening, hail, flood), power surges, possums, extreme weather, corrosion, land or building movement, oxidization;
  • Inter refence from other electrical components such as Fuse boxes, CCTV, satellite/antennae Dish, TV antenna;

 

  • General wear and tear;
  • Events outside of design range caused by the distributor or network operator;

 

  • A failure to notify ADS Solar of any defects within a reasonable time.

 

  • LIMITATIONS
  • This warranty covers the cost of labor or workmanship required to rectify a faulty or defective installation of the solar power system. It does not cover the System Components (unless under the System Components are within the warranty period and those System Components form part of the PV solar system quote) or any part of the installation site including structures, buildings and its fittings, plumbing, electrical system, contents or anything at the installation site or an adjacent site (unless it is under '1 Year Limited Property Damage Warranty').
  • ADS Solar does not warrant that the System Components are installed at its optimum orientation or position, which is determined solely by Customer's preferences, the location and specific orientation of the installation site.
  • Where any subsequent work has been carried out by others on or around the installation work done by ADS Solar, ADS Solar reserves the right to inspect such work and void this warranty if such work has caused the fault or defect to the work done by ADS Solar.
  • The warranty provided herein does not envisage or include any costs or liability of ADS Solar for the installation or removal or troubleshooting of any electrical system onsite such as Air Conditioning or Hot Water.
  • The warranty excludes any transportation
  • or handling costs or any other costs for the return of any defective Components to the manufacturers or the supply of a replacement part to the customer's site. All such costs including the cost of the removal and re-installation of any system component is the responsibility of the customer.

 

  • DISCLAIMER
  • Unless provided for by a Statutory Right and warranty provided by ADS Solar, ADS Solar accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly ( including special, incidental or consequential loss or damage) from any work it has done howsoever arising, including any loss, damage, or expense arising from, but not limited to, any defect, imperfection, fault, omission, error or negligence on its part.
  • Furthermore, ADS Solar neither assumes nor accepts liability for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly (including special, incidental or consequential loss or damage), howsoever caused, as a result of or arising from any delay under a warranty claim or otherwise.

 

  • TRANSFERABILITY

Unless cancelled, void or expired, the 10 years Workmanship Warranty and 1 Year Limited Property Damage warranty are  transferable to a new proprietor of the premises where the solar power system is installed and subject to all Exclusions, Limitations or other provisions contained in this document. The period of any warranty remaining shall not under any circumstances be extended beyond the original term of that warranty. This warranty is not transferable if the costs of any goods supplied or services provided to the Customer remains unpaid or if there is money owing to ADS Solar by the Customer. Any costs associated with a transfer shall be borne and paid for by the person requesting the transfer.

  • WARRANTY CLAIMS

ADS Solar reserves the right to reject any warranty claim lodged outside the relevant warranty period.

Where the workmanship warranty applies, ADS Solar will either (at its discretion and cost) redo or repair the installation or replace any faulty part with a comparable new or refurbished part so that the installation is no longer defective.

Where there is no separate warranty for any System Components, such claims should be sent to ADS Solar. To ensure a warranty claim is processed timeously, the claim must contain the following information :

  1. details of the claim;
  2. proof of purchase
  3. proof of regular maintenance.
